We have a well-established House system at Abbots Bromley Prep School, and each pupil from Kindergarten to Year 6 is assigned to a House when they join.
There are four Houses: Argyle, Benets, Duttons and Stretton. Each House is led by an elected House Captain from Year 6. They are responsible for the members of their House and plan events and organise teams for House competitions. There are many House events, sporting competitions and an annual House Performing Arts competition.
Pupils can earn house points for good work, good behaviour, or for being helpful and polite. As well as receiving individual awards, at the end of each term all house points are added up and a Merit Cup is awarded to the House with the most house points.
Through this system, genuine friendships are made across year groups. The older pupils in Year 5 and Year 6 develop excellent leadership skills and take responsibility for younger pupils.
