Students arriving at Abbots Bromley International College join a foundation course which will provide them with a broad set of GCSE qualifications before they embark upon their A level courses. These include:
- English (either Cambridge First Certificate or iGCSE depending on level of ability)
- Mathematics (GCSE, with the possibility of Further Maths GCSE in addition for exceptional students)
- Chemistry (iGCSE)
- Physics (iGCSE)
Students will also be able to study ICT iGCSE or Performing Arts (if accepted onto the BTEC programme) and will additionally have the opportunity to sit a GCSE or iGCSE in their native language. Further study in Art, Photography or Music may also be a possibility for students with an exceptional talent in these areas of study.
Alongside these examined subjects, students enjoy a PE and Games programme involving a variety of sports and a Personal Social and Health Education programme (PSHE). Art, Speech and Drama and conversational language classes (French, German or Spanish) are included as part of the timetable to ensure a breadth of experience for the student.
For those students requiring extra English language support, the curriculum can be tailored to their specific needs and can include additional EFL classes.
