Introduction

Abbots Bromley Prep School is a thriving co-educational school and an integral part of Abbots Bromley School, taking pupils aged from 3-11. Our experienced teaching staff are supported in their work by classroom assistants and small class sizes facilitate learning, enabling pupils to meet their full potential. Our dedicated team of pastoral care assistants support our pupils outside the classroom.

Abbots Bromley Prep School nestles comfortably within the main building of Abbots Bromley School, occupying its own dedicated teaching area, but benefitting from full access to all the facilities of Abbots Bromley School. In addition to our classrooms, there is a School Hall and an Art and DT room. Our pupils also access several areas within the Senior School, including two ICT rooms, a Food Technology Room and Science laboratories. We make regular use of the Chapel, and full use of the on-site facilities: a heated indoor swimming pool, well-equipped Sports Hall and extensive outdoor sports facilities. There is also a Dance School and an Equestrian Centre on site.

Pupils aged 3-7 years old are taught in the Pre-Prep Department. We accept pupils from the term in which they turn three and nurture their progress from Kindergarten, to Reception and on to Years 1 and 2.

Our Prep Department consists of Years 3-6 and transition from Year 6 to Year 7 is seamless. Being part of an all-through school allows us to introduce more specialist teaching as pupils progress through the school.

We are very proud of the friendly, happy atmosphere that we achieve in the Prep School. Our small class sizes (maximum of 18), vertically grouped House System, creative approach to learning and dedicated staff all contribute to making the Prep School a wonderful place for pupils to flourish and succeed. Our pupils are confident, inquisitive and independent individuals, well prepared for the next stage of their education.
